At SpiriTrust Lutheran®, The Village at Sprenkle Drive, our Skilled Nursing Center provides compassionate care for our residents, with a focus on quality of life. Under the direction of the resident’s physician, the certified nurses provide long-term and recuperative care.

- Traditional long-term Skilled Care: Assists individuals who can no longer live alone due to a chronic illness or other infirmities
- Post-acute care: Provides services to individuals needing additional support to recuperate following discharge from the hospital

Why should I choose Skilled Care at The Village at Sprenkle Drive?

Must I be a member of a Lutheran church to be accepted for admission?
No. Our mission to serve and care was borne out of faith — faith that guides every decision we make concerning those who turn to us for care. That faith is what sets us apart. While our beliefs are firmly rooted in Lutheran heritage, we recognize that faith is different for everyone. We warmly welcome those of differing faith journeys and life experiences at our faith-based community.
Do I have to be a resident of The Village at Sprenkle Drive to be admitted to the Skilled Care residence?
No; however, current residents have priority access should they need additional care.
Will I be able to order my meals from a menu?
Yes. Our dining room operates like a restaurant with wait staff. We offer seasonal weekly menus. Breakfast includes a variety of both hot and cold selections. Two daily entrees, plus an expansive “anytime” à la carte menu, are available at both lunch and dinner. Outside of typical dining hours, a separate menu featuring a variety of delicious selections, such as salads and sandwiches, is available.
May I have guests?
Yes. Family and friends are always welcome. They can join you anytime for a meal or visits in your room, the lounges or outdoor areas. Pets are also permitted to visit.
Can you accommodate a person needing a short-term Rehabilitation stay?
Yes. We have partnered with Flagship Rehabilitation, which offers a range of Senior Rehab Therapy services, including physical, occupational and speech therapies.
Is there an orientation when I move in?
Yes. We realize that transitioning to any kind of senior citizen housing, including Skilled Care, can be stressful for both the resident and family members. Our staff will meet with you to help you settle in and get to know the community. They are also available on an ongoing basis to answer any questions.
Does Medicare cover some of the cost for care?
Medicare frequently covers Skilled Care after certain criteria have been met. For more information about Medicare, contact the Social Security Administration at 800.772.1213.
What insurances do you accept?
We are Medicare- and Medicaid-certified. We also work with many other insurance providers. Please contact the business office for a full, up-to-date listing.
If my funds deplete, will I be asked to leave?
No. As long as you meet the eligibility requirements at move-in, abide by the rules and regulations of SpiriTrust Lutheran®, have not unethically spent down your funds, and maintain your eligibility for medical assistance and other third-party reimbursements, you will not be required to leave.
Are pets permitted?
Yes. Unlike in some senior citizen housing, well-behaved pets are welcome to visit our pet-friendly retirement community. Pets must be leashed and have current vaccinations. Any pet-related damage is the responsibility of the owner.
Is smoking permitted?
No. All of our senior living communities, including The Village at Sprenkle Drive, are smoke-free. It is our desire to offer a safe and healthy environment at all of our retirement communities.
Do I need long-term care insurance to move to The Village at Sprenkle Drive?
While it’s not mandatory, long-term care insurance might help to cover the costs of Skilled Care, Assisted Living or Home Health Care services. If you have long-term care insurance, please check the terms of your policy.
